Christopher Renna '00 was born and raised in Brooklyn and was a two-time First Team All-City player/pitcher for Xaverian and runner-up for Player of the Year in his senior year. As a four-year baseball player, Christopher led multiple teams to CHSAA Championships as a freshman and junior, posting a career 1.13 ERA and .407 BA. He went on to play D-1 baseball for Frank Del George at St. Francis College and for Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he was a two-year team captain. Despite being scouted by the Atlanta Braves, Florida Marlins (currently Miami Marlins), and St. Louis Cardinals, Christopher's baseball career was cut short during his junior year of college due to multiple arm injuries.
Coach Renna is in his first official year as the JV baseball coach after coaching under Bill Daly last year in his first year with Xaverian. After falling short in the first round of the playoffs last year, Coach Renna looks to lead his JV team back to Xaverian baseball glory this upcoming season.
Coach Renna has been coaching baseball for over 15 years with multiple travel ball organizations, the last eight years with Richmond County Baseball Club, where he is currently the HC of the #44 Nationally ranked and #2 Mid-Atlantic region ranked RCBC Ghost Americans, according to Perfect Game.
He resides in Staten Island with his wife, Jennifer, and four kids.
